New Highland Baptist Church is seeking a part time Administrative Assistant and Financial Secretary to be responsible for general office administrative duties such as managing the Church office and office supplies, answering the phone, typing bulletins and newsletters. They will assist the Pastor, maintain the website, social media accounts and email messaging. The position will be responsible for the financial accounting, payroll and payments of the Church.
The position will be 20 hours per week and the days and hours per day are negotiable. The position reports directly to the Pastor.
A qualified candidate would have the following skillsets:
- High school graduate with work experience in a business setting or a business degree
- Proficient using computers and office software to include MS Office applications
- A well-qualified candidate will have experience with accounting software (preferably ACST) and payroll
- The ability and willingness to learn new applications as needed to fulfill responsibilities
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- The ability to work well with others, both individually and in groups
- Flexibility, multi-tasking skills and a willingness to serve the staff and members
