Season 20+25: Going for Christ to the Next Generation
Dear NHBC Family,
We are thrilled to begin our Season 20+25 celebration in which we remember the life, love, and legacy of New Highland. This fall, we mark significant milestones in the life of our church. The Day School celebrates 20 years of ministry this year. In addition, our church recognizes 25 years of ministry in its present location. As we celebrate the faithfulness of God and generations past, we also take intentional time this fall to express our gratitude for what God is doing now in the present. We have a growing congregation looking to the future and making a difference today that will last into tomorrow.
In celebration an exciting new chapter in the story of our church: we are expectant and proud to launch the Capital Campaign, named Going for Christ to the Next Generation. This initiative marks a significant moment in our church as we aim to raise $70,000 this year. Achieving this goal will allow us to raise seed funds to pursue the hiring of an Associate Pastor for Groups & Students ($50,000). In addition, our second goal is to raise capital infusion to invest into our next generation ministries ($20,000). By securing our generational ministries with both staffing and capital investment, we will be able to truly go and make a difference to the next generation. Our theme verse for this Season 20|25 and Capital Campaign comes from Psalm 145:4, “One generation shall commend your works to another and shall declare your mighty acts.”
We are pleased to report that we are off to a great start. A generous donor has contributed a matching gift $12,500. That means every dollar given will be matched up to that dollar amount. As we continue with this campaign, we invite each of you to join us in prayer and pledge. Pray for the success of our efforts, for the Lord’s guidance and blessing upon our congregation, and for the strength to Go and Make a Difference together and meet this challenge. Let us ask the Lord to assist us in ministering as He intended us to.

A capital campaign is a stewardship program focused on addressing special needs of the church such as raising funds for building projects, facilities maintenance, debt elimination, and other needs. Capital campaigns are a separate offering from the annual church operating expense budget.
What is the Vision of the Season 20+25 Campaign
The vision of Season 2025: A Celebration of the Life, Love, and Legacy of New Highland Baptist Church, is:
- To reflect on the past faithfulness of God and NHBC to the Great Commission.
- To remember the stories, honor the past, and express gratitude to both God and generations prior for their faithfulness and pioneering.
- To celebrate the present movement and working of God at NHBC.
- To interview present staff members, new members, and the current congregation of New Highland to highlight what makes our church unique.
- To cast a vision for the future, seeking God for wisdom and guidance in fulfilling plans He has established for us.
- To dream again as a church for what is possible for New Highland over the next 25 years.
- To present the Strategic Plan, and to raise $70k to help fund the future hire of a next generation pastor ($50k), and to fund the next generation ministries of the church ($20k – split between the Dayschool, Children, Students, and Young Adult ministries).
Why are we conducting a capital campaign now?
We have no dedicated Student staff position, and visiting families with teenagers have identified their need for a student ministry.
If we don’t act now, who will? We were made for such a time as this. We are called to go to the next generation for Christ. Jesus welcomed the little children, and the teens!
How much are we trying to raise in this capital campaign?
Our giving goal is $70k:
- $20k for Next Generation Ministries
- $50k to fund a Next Generation Pastor
