It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and NHBC hopes you will celebrate the season with many planned services and activities:
Sermon Series – The Five
Pastor Derek will delve into the significance of the five women in the lineage of Jesus:

- December 22: “The Five” – BATHSHEBA

Moments of Hope— Saturday, December 14, 10 AM
It’s the season of giving, and we invite you to participate in NHBC’s bi-monthly mission opportunity. The Missions Team hosts the assembling of bagged lunches for Moments of Hope Outreach’s “Saturday Servings.” All ages are encouraged to participate. Gather in the Christian Life Center kitchen at 10 AM. You can assemble the lunches onsite and/or those over 18 years old can also distribute the lunches offsite at The Light Community Church (601 Azalea Ave) from 12pm – 1:30 PM. Christmas Cantata – Christmas Is Coming, Sing for Joy! – December 15, 4 PM
The choirs of New Highland and Black Creek Baptist Churches will be performing a Christmas Cantata at Atlee High School (9414 Atlee Station Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116), and selected music students at Atlee High School and others will provide the accompaniment. Free Admission. All are welcome!
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service – December 24, 4 PM
We hope you and your family, friends and neighbors will make plans to worship at New Highland on Christmas Eve. A meaningful, candlelight worship service is planned, featuring special music, served communion, and Pastor Derek’s sermon about Mary, the mother of Jesus. If you are interested, Linda Peay will photograph you and your family group in front of the Chrismon tree following the service.
